Clearing House

Concept E
Institutional, sealed, in writing

This concept takes the hive out of the picture and treats ClaimsHive as what it really is: a clearing house. Claims arrive, are examined, and leave for a buyer at an agreed price, and every step is written down. The identity borrows from the institutions this sector wants to be trusted like: the law report, the bank note, the sealed letter. A serif wordmark, a deep sealing-wax red and quiet paper tones make it look like something a solicitor already recognises.

The monogram is a C that holds an H. The crossbar runs out through the opening of the C, the way a claim leaves the house once it is cleared, and ends in a small bit like a key: every party holds the key to its own view and no one else's. For an owner who needs to look well run, and a law firm deciding whether to trust its supplier, the brand says one thing first: this business keeps proper records.

How it is drawn

One stroke weight throughout, a little under a quarter of the circle's radius. The C opens by 80 degrees; the H sits left of centre so the crossbar has room to leave. Short form in writing is CH, used in references and email subjects. Clear space equals the width of the opening.

The records seal wraps the monogram in a ring of text and appears only on documents that carry evidence: approvals, statements, audit exports. Its rarity is the point.

Colour

Sealing wax, paper and ink. Red is reserved for the brand and for decisions; it never decorates.

Twenty-five claims went to Harrow Lane Legal this morning.

Instrument Sans carries the interface: labels, buttons, table text and long reading in the app. It is plain and wide enough to scan a column of names at speed, and it sits comfortably under the serif without competing with it.

Claims in. Claims out. Everything in writing.
